Denmark & White Ltd is an Essex-based construction company that has forged an excellent reputation within the construction industry. Operating within London and the Home Counties, the company works for a wide range of public and private clients on projects ranging from £500,000 to £6,000,000. 

A recent project successfully delivered to client, JG Lettings, was a 63-bedroom, purpose-built student accommodation block in Gillingham. Each unit included a fully equipped en-suite bathroom featuring a shower cubicle from the Kinedo range by Saniflo. The Kinedo Kineprime Glass is an integrated cubicle with stunning interior glass panels that sit over the pre-formed upstand of a shower tray to ensure all water runs inside the shower; providing a leak-free environment. Clear glass external panels feature Crystal Plus coating to eliminate limescale build-up and ensure easy cleaning – ideal for the student community. The exposed valve and showerhead are provided as part of the package. 

The Kineprime Glass was specified by Managing Director, Andrew Gardner, at Denmark & White who was impressed by the solution and service from Saniflo;  

Our client’s brief was for a sturdy cubicle that could be swiftly replaced if necessary. We researched the options and the Kineprime Glass seemed to fit the bill. A Saniflo representative came and demonstrated the product to us on site which highlighted the ease of installation and product quality to us. We certainly liked the look of it and – as durability is key in the student sector – we then assembled a unit to test on site to ensure they were up for the challenge. Assembly of the cubicles was intuitive and they were quick to install so our plumbing contractor was able to master the process easily and the showers subsequently took just a few hours each to get up and running.

The brand new accommodation block will be used by students studying at Medway Universities. It features fully equipped kitchens and living areas, along with essentials such as broadband for the students.

The new style cubicles we are using look great, but more importantly they have to stand up to heavy usage from students. It’s early days, but we believe these units will stand the test of time and will stay looking pristine thanks to the coating on the glass and the ease of cleaning.
